Dr. John Engelbrecht D.C.

Expert in Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Care

Dr. John Engelbrecht has proudly served the Tallahassee community since 2008. A Tallahassee native, he is deeply committed to caring for the families and individuals in the community that helped shape him.

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, one of the most respected chiropractic institutions in the country. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University, where he developed a strong foundation in biomechanics, movement science, and human performance. This background in exercise physiology continues to influence his rehabilitation-focused approach to care.

Dr. Engelbrecht believes chiropractic care should go beyond short-term symptom relief. His focus is on identifying the underlying cause of dysfunction, restoring proper movement, and helping patients build long-term strength and resilience. By combining precise chiropractic adjustments with targeted rehabilitation strategies, he works to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support lasting results.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Engelbrecht serves as a professor at Keiser University, teaching Anatomy and Physiology. His role as an educator reflects his commitment to lifelong learning and to staying current in evidence-based care.

Outside the office, Dr. Engelbrecht enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, camping, mountain biking, and cheering on Florida State athletics. He also competes in triathlons, a reflection of his passion for health, endurance, and performance. At home, he stays busy with his chocolate Labrador, who ensures there is never a dull moment.

Dr. Engelbrecht is honored to serve Tallahassee and looks forward to helping each patient move better, feel stronger, and live fully.
